Fleet Lease Exchange Company, Inc., DBA Flexco Fleet Services started as a one-man endeavor back in March of 1992 by Ron Shoemaker. Ron had a desire to build something greater than what existed at the time and so he began by buying vehicles from companies and dealerships and reselling them to other car dealers in and around Columbus, Ohio. Back then, Ron was running his own titles and utilizing independents to help with transports. By the time he was able to hire his first team member, he was remarketing over 600 cars a year.

Fast forward to today and Flexco is a company with over $100 million in yearly sales and over 30 associates—many having been with Flexco for over 10 years. Chad Shoemaker

Chad Shoemaker joined the Hourglass Management Corp. family of companies in early 2009, bringing a strong foundation in client relationship development and strategic growth. Since then, he has played a key role in driving long-term success across the organization.

Prior to Hourglass, Chad spent eight years in the employee benefits industry with leading carriers including UNUM, UnitedHealthcare, and Univers Workplace Benefits. During this time, he earned multiple sales awards and helped launch innovative products as part of UnitedHealth Group’s product development team. As Senior Sales Consultant, Chad successfully introduced these products to market and built one of UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits’ top-performing territories in the Rocky Mountain region.

His experience spans sales leadership, financial modeling, and consultative strategies for risk management, all of which continue to inform his approach to building strong partnerships and delivering value for clients.

Amy Riggenbach

Amy Riggenbach joined Flexco in 2007 as part of the management team. In 2011, Amy moved to Denver, CO to join the Hourglass Management team as the Human Resources Manager and then returned to the Ohio office as Vice President. Amy has over 27 years of management and operational experience that has led her back to Ohio and to this current role at Flexco.

As Vice President, Amy handles the overall operations for Flexco where the goal is to make the remarketing process seamless for clients from consignment to settlement. She also interacts daily with all departments, including Remarketing, Employee Sales, Title and Registration, Finance and Transportation.

Amy graduated from Ohio Dominican University in 1998 with a B.A. in Business Administration. She currently resides in Lewis Center, Ohio with her husband, Alan and 2 children, Jackson and Cameron.

Gary Watkins

Gary Watkins is Chief Financial Officer of Hourglass Management and Flexco Fleet Services, where he oversees financial strategy and operational finance functions supporting Flexco’s fleet remarketing, transportation, and title and registration services. Flexco operates from locations in Plain City, Ohio and Denver, Colorado, delivering wholesale vehicle remarketing, transportation brokering, and fleet title and registration solutions nationwide.

With more than 35 years of financial and executive leadership experience, Gary brings a strategic and practical approach to advancing corporate vision, strengthening financial discipline, and streamlining back-office operations. He is known for building strong business support organizations, advising CEOs and presidents on strategic direction, and creating scalable platforms that support sustainable growth and successful exit strategies for entrepreneurial owners.

Gary’s leadership style emphasizes consistency, integrity, and team development, with a focus on optimizing people and resources while adding long-term value to the organization.

Gary holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisville and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He previously served as President and board member of the Financial Executives International Colorado chapter.

Dan Fierro

Dan Fierro is the Executive Vice President of Sales and Strategy at Flexco Fleet Services, bringing more than 30 years of experience across the fleet lifecycle from acquisition to remarketing. He leads Flexco’s growth efforts nationwide, working closely with staff, clients and partners to strengthen relationships, uncover opportunities, and expand Flexco’s fast-pickup, quick-sale “Velocity” remarketing model.

Dan remains active in AFLA, NAFA, and NTEA, where he’s regularly involved in industry planning, education, and partnership development. His approach blends deep industry knowledge with a genuine focus on people, something he believes sits at the core of Flexco’s culture and success.

Originally from Southern California, Dan graduated from Cal State LA and now lives in Baltimore’s Locust Point neighborhood with his wife, Denise. They recently passed the 35-year mark, and both of their adult children now live on the East Coast as well. Outside of work, Dan is a lifelong Dodgers fan, though living in Baltimore has made the Orioles his favorite American League team, and he’s now a proud season ticket holder. He’s a committed dart league player who jokes that enthusiasm counts more than accuracy.

Katie Cole

Katie Cole brings more than 14 years of hands-on experience across the full spectrum of fleet management. Her background spans both strategic and operational functions, including supply chain management, licensing and title, driver call center operations, and end-to-end fleet support. In her role as a Regional Sales Director at Flexco Fleet Services, Katie focuses on building strong partnerships with new customers while continuing to grow and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

Katie is active in NAFA, NTEA, and AFLA where she also serves on the AFLA Task Force as Director, Dealers and Remarketers. She is also a chair of the Women in Fleet Management (WIFM) Task Force, where she supports initiatives focused on leadership, inclusion, and professional development within the industry.

Born in California and raised in Maryland and New Jersey, Katie graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in Communications and Women’s and Gender Studies. She began her career working on-air at a Philadelphia radio station before returning to California further her career in fleet.

Katie now resides in Arizona and enjoys spending time with her husband Matthew and three dogs, Chase Bubba and Cooper.

Angela Crooke

Angela Crooke brings more than 18 years of experience in sales and client relationship management within service-driven industries. Her background includes strategic account development, consultative solution delivery, and long-term partnership building in complex operational environments.

As a Senior Sales Executive at Flexco Fleet Services, Angela supports clients with customized remarketing and fleet service solutions, working closely with Flexco’s Remarketing, Transportation, Title and Registration, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless process from pickup through settlement. She is known for her responsiveness, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering consistent value.

Throughout her career, Angela has contributed to organizational growth by strengthening client relationships and supporting solutions aligned with customer goals. She brings a collaborative, people-first approach to her work and values integrity, communication, and trust.

Michele LaPierre

Michele joined Flexco in October 2025 as a Regional Sales Director. She brings extensive experience in fleet management, insurance, and client relationship management, including direct experience working with fleet management companies.

As Regional Sales Director, Michele supports clients across the Northwest, Midwest, and Southern Texas, focusing on end-of-service vehicle remarketing, transportation, and title and registration for both owned and leased fleets. She works closely with Flexco’s Remarketing, Transportation, Title and Registration, and Operations teams to ensure a smooth process from pickup through settlement.

Born and raised in the Seattle area, she graduated from the University of Washington in 1998 with a B.A. in Communications. Michele relocated to the Houston area in 2020. She enjoys traveling, is an avid Seattle sports fan, and is part of a blended family of five.
